Hello

I'm planning to finish my basement with a dedicated home theater. I have had a part time HT before and I have the following pieces from before..

Denon AVR 3801 series receiver
Polk on the wall speakers 7.1 set up
Polk subwoofer 400 W never used
Velodyne 5000 series subwoofer.
Panasonic 1000U projector
141/143 inch fixed elite screen.

At this time I want to go in wall for surround and rear speakers and use floor standing speakers for front center to get more bang for my buck.

I intend to upgrade the receiver/ projector +/- screen and subwoofer at a later time as I have limited budget.

I'm thinking of Polk tsx440t or Rti a4/7 series speakers for the front

Polk tsi cs20 or csi a6c for center speaker

Polk in wall rc85i or something similar for the surround and rear speakers

I have considered deftech but didn't get a chance to listen to them where I am and Iam apprehensive buying stuff I haven't heard yet.

I'm not set on the set up yet but I'm including the room plan. 18 ft x 15ft are the room dimensions. And have a dedicated audio/video cabinet in the back to hold the equipment.

I've always enjoyed reading the posts and thanks for all the advice.

VJ

Sorry, but I did not see a question in your original post. Hard to tell you're looking for feedback other than just a place to document your set up/.

Thanks for your response. I sure am looking for advice with whether this set up is a good one or any changes need to be made.

Whether I can match the speakers the way I did?

Should I go with in wall Polk 265LS speakers for front and 255c for the center so I can match them better including clear floor space.

Should I go with 700LS/500LS in ceiling speakers for my rear and surround speakers so I have all in wall and a well matched setup?

Has anyone used theses speakers in the combination and their feedback.

I'm struggling to decide between floor standing vs in wall for the front and center channels.

To make matters worse I can't listen to the speakers I want in the local stores. So your feedback and experience sure helps me out. TIA.
