We are just moving to a new home and the basement is throwing me off in terms of the projector and screen placement options. Here is my setup ...Projector: Epson 5010, Screen: 100in tensioned electric screen.
Can you guys look at this floor plan and tell me if either of these options might work better? Is there another option you can recommend ?
For Option 1 (Orange)
- The screen is mounted from the ceiling, in the middle of the basement.
- The projector is mounted on a shelf at the back.
For Option 2 (green)
- The screen is mounted on the left wall
- The projector is mounted from the ceiling.
Based on the projector central calculator
, the throw distance should be around 14-15 ft. The issue is that the room is 21.5 ft long... and thus there is a compromise between brighter image versus some odd thing hanging from the ceiling inthe middle of the basement. I am trying to figure out what is a recommended way - other than buying a larger screen or a brighter projector.
