I just purchased a Pioneer VSX-70 Elite Receiver. I am trying to connect it to the bet via an Internet cable that is plugged directly into my box, but nothing happens. Can someone help.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure you get a link light on the network adapter. Is the device your plugging into running DHCP if not then your system will not obtain an IP address to communicate on the LAN (local area network). I don't know your device, but I know you have to enable network in the on screen setup menu on some AV receivers.
