I just moved into my new pad and there is a mount for an LCD already installed above the fireplace. What I need is the part that goes on my tv to allow me to hang it on the mount. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Welcome to the forum

Looks like a nice mount but as what it is, is a ???. The chrome bars are no longer used, thats from the days when the price of all video accessories were just sky hi and a little chrome went a long way to make us think we were getting something for the money. I think you will be much better off getting a new one, and one that fits your set. Go to Monoprice.com for it.

Talk to your landlord? This is America. Half a mount will probably cost you twice as much as a whole mount so unless you can get the other half from the previous tenant I doubt the wall part will do you much good.

Yeah I'd just buy one that works for your TV and your situation.
