Here is the room as I see it coming together. The couch and TV stand are already purchased. I'm here to get opinions/corrections on my TV, speaker, and receiver choice and placement. I'm not very experienced where this is concerned, I've merely been reading over the last few days and came to these choices.

The TV is a Panasonic TC-P60ST60 for $1500

Speaker set is Pioneer SP-PK52FS for $550

Receiver is Yamaha RX-V673 for $400

I would not like to go much more expensive if any, though if it could be justified I would certainly consider it. Thank you for your input.

You can get the previous generation of the pioneer speakers for cheaper.

A set of the 51's a CS21 and BS21's.

I actually just purchased the speakers. The center channel is very large, and I knew this before I bought it, but I was hoping my TV stand would be able to more easily accommodate it. Ear level will be about 40-45 inches TV stand is 27 plus another 35 for the TV so that's 62 inches. Would it be distracting for the center to be that high? If it would be acceptable, any suggestions on how to mount it? I am under the impression that having it above ear level would do less harm than being off to the left or right 8 inches or so.

If you can angle it down slightly that will help.
