Hey, what's up everyone!!! I’ve always had an itch to have my own wanna-be theater and it finally had to be scratched. I have no experience whatsoever with building stuff. During the process I actually cut a giant man-hole in a nearby bedroom wall to gain entry to an attic running alongside the theater room…. only to later discover that attic access panels were in the garage. Wow. That is all. Anyway… the DIY is as follows.. buy equipment.. stuff it nicely. Done. I literally laid down a piece of already painted wood along the wire shelving in the closet to house my gear and secured it. The wires running through the wall should have been a 5 hour project tops… it took me 2 weeks. Now that everything is up and running I can easily say it was totally worth it.
As a movie buff, it had to be done… building risers, and beautiful wall treatments can come after I master legos. I did a walk around cellphone video and tried to spice up what is boring compared to 99.3% of the other builds here.. it’s overthetop cheesy & keeps a smile on my face.. my crowning achievement is drilling holes and upgrading the closet doorknobs
