Simple question to y'all. I am in the process of treating my first reflection points in my room. One being on the floor in between my couch and speakers. That area is entirely covered by a 1/2" polyester rug (non-shaggy). It helps slightly with reflections and reverb. My question is: Will putting a carpet cushion under my rug (rugs) help decay or attenuate the reflections from that point? More concerned with the upper frequencies than the mids and bass. Cushion as in image. Not expecting much, but every bit helps.

Thanks,
Ryan
