Hi Experts,

I am building a new house and have the option to pre-wire the family room for surround sound. Please find below the picture(s) of my family room where I want to place the speakers with a few options on my mind around speaker pre-wiring. It is an open floor plan so as much as I want floor standing speakers in front and back, doesn't seem like I can do that. Please look at the options below and advise if any of them will work better than other, or if you have another suggestion altogether.

I had multiple options on mind so uploading a word doc with options. Please help!!

Appreciate all your help.

Thanks!!

As far as the LCRs go, you are much better having all 3 at or near screen elevation. So either floor standing L/R or BS speakers on stands. Then just go with in-ceiling for the rears.

I would spread the surround speakers as wide apart as symmetrical possible rather than how close they are in your pics.
