I have decided to get into the game and have been looking at the Optoma 25e and BenQ 1070 as options but am a bit lost on a few things. My room is 18 feet long and projection area is 10 feet wide so my max screen size would be between 90 and 100 inches diagonal. Perfect world is that the projector is shelf mounted on the back wall. It appears that I have to have the projectors fairly close to the screen. to get the size I need..questions:
1). If the projector is close to the screen, Should I be concerned that the image will be too bright? ( Room has no windows)I have tried the calculator at projector central and the lumens are so high when these projectors are 8 feet from the screen.
2) The optoma has no vertical shift...is that a big concern? ( I could ceiling mount)
3) Any budget projectors that would allow me to project from 18 feet away and get a 100 inch pic?
Thanks so much- I may have over complicated things and confused myself :0
You would probably get better advice over on the projectors<3k board.
