Living room theater progress..and curtain suggestions?
So recently I posted about advice for painting my fairly large living room (roughly 16x24). Previously I just threw my screen (120" VA tensioned motorized) and my projector (sony hw50es) up. I had just moved in last Oct and it was glorious. The walls were glossy brown on the screen wall and glossy white (lol) on everything else and it still looked amazing! I lived with it due to some living room leak issues that needed some money thrown at it. I couldn't paint until it got fixed.
I got around to fixing an issue with my 2nd floor master bedroom exterior balcony that caused leaks into the living room directly below, then had the contractor replace 2 full sheets of drywall as well. Now that the root cause issue was fixed I was able to start fixing up the living room!
Well I painted everything, threw up almost 5 gallons of bonding primer, painted the ceiling Valspar Wet Pavement which is a lighter gray with a bit of tan, and the walls Ocean Storm which is a darker gray blue. The yucky carpet came up as well and I will probably throw down some decent engineered 5" planks once I decide what I like best.
I also have 4 gold sconces that I primed and painted flat black.
I now am trying to figure out what to do with the double doors, windows, and arch in regards to light blocking....one massive curtain? A curtain for each thing? Something else? Also I would like a curtain at the entrance to the sunken living room to block light coming from there as well. That should be easier to figure out though, I will probably just install a track.
Pics included. The only pics I didn't attach yet are the finished sconces, didn't realize I set them on a pile of tax documents so I will take more later. They look great! One of the pics shows the existing wall/ceiling color with the new ceiling color and new wall color.
