it looks like you got a good deal on the screen. toshiba makes a better screen though.

Just say no to cable.

I thought in terms of quality, the top 5 were

Hitachi
Mitsubishi
Toshiba
Sony
JVC

Perhaps I'm wrong. :) Either way Heard the Silver Plus Mitsubishi for that price beats most anything else in that price/size class.

hmmm...I always thought the Pioneer Elite's were right around the top. I find it hard to believe all those manufacturers make better.

The Mits is a very nice set.

I'm guessing that these TVs all offer similar picture, especially with ISF calibration. its all a matter of preference perhaps? ;)

I'm trying to sell my 3 year old 55"Mits on Ebay ( item#3079708073), not because I don't like it but because I'm upgrading to an FP.

I shopped around for a long time before buying my Mits and I really love the PQ!! If you are planning on putting your center speaker on top, pick up a couple of rubber door stops to angle the speaker down toward your primary listening/viewing location for better imaging.

You'll be very happy with the TV, enjoy!:)

I got some junk scattered around the house...

SO, if any of you guys had gotten this deal, would you go through with it, or would you find something better???

Also, is it recommended to get an EXTENDED WARRANTY for the Bigscreen TV? If so, what would be your recommendation for the best deal for the buck? Sears Wanted $560.00 for 5 years, which is ridiculous.

Also, where can I find a REVIEW on the TV I bought?

You got a good deal. That's also a very affordable way to get into High Definition TV viewing. Enjoy!
