Has anyone used this unit? How is the quality? I have a Sony DVP-S7000, any idea how the Elite stacks up? I will be using it with a 32 inch XBR400 via progressive scan component inputs. Thanks

I don't believe it's out yet. Saw one post on another forum that it would be out in 2 or 3 weeks. Price quoted was around $700 street price.

If some of the technical info on it is true it would seem to be at least in the class of the Toshiba 6200 in it's video output, which would make it a top notch player. It would definitely outperform any interlaced player. Of course you might not see as much difference on a 32" versus something like a 65", but I imagine you'll be able to see an improvement.

Bob, I love my Elite DV-07 301 disc megachanger. Personally, I am in the lower grade video spectrum with an NTSC set (60" Elite PRO-119). So, for me, the benefits of the 301 disc changer far outweighed the cost of it not being progressive scan. But the Elite has what I think has the best picture of any DVD player I own. (5)

Someday, perhaps I will be in video nirvana. But for now, I will be content with Audio Nirvana. If you don't know what all that means, just view my home page. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif
