So I have beeen using the basement for about a week now, got one couch for now, I'll probably go with two rocker/recliners for each side of the media room. The couch is a reclining sofa, not quite HT seating but a decent compromise. Still need to hang the center channel, been putting that off for some reason.

I stuck a computer desk in the corner, I always liked to have the PC in the living room vs. a home office. I was hoping to have a liquor cabinet in the other corner, and hope to put an aquarium down here sometime as well.

As far as the gear goes, the plasma looks good to great on HD, not so good on SD. The Harmony 890 is awesome, does everything I want it to.

Interesting concept of the couch in adjacent room. Agree that double recliners in the room itself would be less disruptive of eye traffic and room flow. Nice job and what a great space.

Enjoy.

Thanks, I would like to have the couch closer to the TV (actually in the room) but there would not be enough room to walk around the couch into the room.

What can you do.

It's a discontinued color by General paints...I believe it's called Spice Bounty.

Wow, Window casings are that easy?

I'm tempted to try now.. given that it's either that or hire someone to do all the finishing too.

I don't have a table saw either, so I might try that circular saw idea.

That looks great. You have to bring those speakers out into the room, though, for the best imaging and sound.
