Sounds like the lens memory has been reset. I am no expert and have never done this but how I understand it to work you set up each aspect ration with zoom and focus and lens shift and save it to a memory location. So it sounds like your setup has been reset and you will have to redo do it and save it..
Crack open the users guide and refresh yourself on the setup and memory options.
Hope this helps..

Resurrected from the dungeon of the archives, nearly a year to the day since the last post! I've got LG troubles. As a refresher, I had two LG ductless units installed in my basement, one in the playroom and one in the theater. Just had my a/c guy out for service and he informed me that the compressor is shot and there is a leak in the coil. He will investigate warranty coverage since it's only been about 3 years or so. In any case, even the panels will have to be replaced because he says they get sold as a package, not piecemeal.

My question for everyone is what is everyone using these days to cool their theaters? I do not want to tap into my main system as our house is fairly large and I do not want to compromise cooling in the main areas of the house. Is there a specific ductless unit that anyone would recommend? I am irked that this supposed 'top of the line' LG unit gave me such a short shelf life as we very rarely even had it running. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Ok guys, here are the details:

-14x20 dedicated room (though can extend to 14 x 30) in basement (yet to be finished) mainly for movies
-steel column right smack in the middle at 16', 2 other columns right around 20' that can be hidden in the back wall or keep them and extend room to 30
-seating will be 8 Berklines, front row IOIOOIOI, second row on a riser with IOIOI pole IOIOI

Any comments or even general thoughts appreciated. I will post pictures of the development once we actually choose a GC!

Whats the height of your room/HT?

Wow, you sure dug deep into the dungeon . Thanks for the resurrection!

I started off with 8' ceilings but once you factor in hat track, whisper clips and two layers of 5/8 DW I lost quite a bit. See page 7 for that part of the install.

For the front row it's no trouble but I could definitely see a tall person having to crouch on the second level with the projector hanging. I am 5' 3" so not an issue at all for me.

Wow, the annual bump up from the dungeon!! Thanks for stopping by roud and for your gracious comment. It has been a while since I last visited but it's nice to see some old friends still actively pursuing their passions.

Hard to believe so many years have passed since the 'build'. Glad to report that we are still thoroughly enjoying the HT. Admittedly though, no upgrades to mention as my hobby $$ have been going toward my other passion - photography. After years of just getting by with a zoom kit kens to shoot my kids playing sports, I finally took the plunge and got myself a 2.8 zoom. Amazing.

Cuzed2 I'm still around, just not very active at the moment. Lack of time being part of it. Right now need to build some panels... Been working on them since the fall.

I completely understand the lack of time part, although the wifey and I are becoming "empty nesters" this year. Starting to think about downsizing and theater #2...

Hey smaks! Wow, it has been a long time. Have always been a die hard Nikon shooter. I love the 70-200mm 2.8 VRII for softball and soccer but have had more success with my 85mm 1.8g for indoor low-light volleyball. Still lots of clunkers but thank goodness for digital and continuous shooting. Hope all is well with you!

Man, it's Smak and Cuzed and Queen all in one. Just like old times. Been lurking a lot, just not posting. Ready for football season to start and more regular use of the theater. :-)

What's up Rt. I'm the same way, roll through, look at some threads, wish I had bags of money, loads of time, then go cry since I have neither.

I actually don't watch that much football in the theater, maybe some in the evening, but the wife is usually sick of football by night time and doesn't want to watch it at night.

I roll canon. My t2i, original slr died recently, so now the debate is on for which body to get. Looking 6d or maybe Mark 3. I hope the price drops with the release of the mark 4

Hah....I'm typically a single man on Sunday's during football season. I have an understanding wife who knows she is going to be on her own Sundays.

I'm afraid that if I had all the money I wanted for upgrades I would just be in a perpetual upgrade mode. The way I am now, I can appreciate when I do upgrade, and don't upgrade without a "real" reason.

RTROSE

No, but have changed a few things around to better utilize my equipment in other areas. Just a quick cliff note version. Since both kids are gone to college I turned their area into a workout room, the workout room is now back to being a spare bed room. The old 42" plasma was the main TV in the family room is now in the workout room replacing a 32" LCD. The kids 54" Plasma is now my main TV in the family room and the 32" LCD is now happily in a dorm room at Purdue.

Wait, your kids had a bigger TV than the family room? How does that work
