I may have mentioned this, but Texas Instruments thought enough of the image quality of Kill Bill that they used part of it for basically their coming out party for consumer 3 chip DLP at CEDIA a few years ago. I believe the screen was 15' wide and I (and some others) thought it looked incredible. I believe they were running it from a D5 tape based on a conversation I had with somebody working the demo.
On the Smart People BD there is an extra about movies from Miramax and it shows short clips from different Miramax movies. They go pretty fast, but I was struck with how much cleaner the KB clips looked than most. I don't know if they were DNRed, but in that little run through they looked better to my eyes than most of the material around them.
