Hey everyone, first time poster here, long time lurker. I purchased 3 movies from Tower during the $11 sale and was pleased with the price, selected 2nd shipping, and did not recieve my items for a week & a half, it was terrible, finally got my shipping refunded, but it was like pulling teeth with them

i ordered dark city and the $140 bbc collection (planet earth, ganges, wild china, galapagos) together with code ANWBTS. both were (and still are) pre-orders. my dark city shows a $9 discount because i placed the order when the price was $20 (with a $6 discount) -- now the price is $23.

I was excited to see that my order from Deep Discount arrived today faster than I thought it would. My excitement was gone when I opened it to see that they sent me The Usual Suspects instead of Letters From Iwo Jima. The DD website says that if there's a mis-shipment, you're supposed to send it back to them via USPS Parcel Post with a note explaining the issue. Not only will that take FOREVER, but now I have to pay for shipping the WRONG movie back to them? Are you kidding me?

re-enter the code ANWBTS a second time. you need two items in your cart -- it does look like it will let you get (away with) the 30% off with just twister in your cart but not batman begins in your cart. you aren't supposed to be able to use the code, though, unless you have two items in your cart.

My god man! You ordered the thing all of TWO days ago and you're frantically asking if you should be worried? I can only assume you've never heard of a thing called patience. If your order hasn't shipped by this time next week, then I'd begin to get worried. Until then, sit down, breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out. Not everything in this world happens the instant you want it to.

You've used DD before, you should know that their processing, shipping, and customer service is atrocious. There's no price low enough to get me to buy from them ever again.

Yep, welcome to DD...they lure you in the a low price, free shipping, and then you find out that they blow chunks @ customer service. I had an order (one disc actually) that was on back-order for 14 days and I tried to cancel it. They refused to cancel it and told me to send it back if I didn't want it. OK...never again buy from DD...

I just called to complain about getting the wrong movie. The CSR was actually pretty nice. She's going to email me a prepaid label to exchange the movie for the correct one. To bad it's probably going to take a while for the swap.

Re: DD sending me a Rambo Trilogy with qty. 2 Rambo III and missing Rambo II.

They are going to mail me a prepaid shipping label to return the whole thing and will send a replacement once they receive the "defective" trilogy back. I'm glad they're taking care of this without me having to pay shipping, but the downside is I'm guessing it'll probably be a good month before I get the correct Trilogy. I haven't had as much time to watch movies lately, so I guess it's not that big of a deal.

Have an Onkyo 805 receiver and having trouble setting up Audyssey?

Ok, it did work, but from $23 down, not acceptable, will wait! I was in for BATMAN, NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS and BEETLE JUICE!

I'm having 2nd thoughts with DD. I'm sure its not the same with everyone, but ordered on 19th, after 9 business days still no Rambo tril. Am I in a hurry to watch 20yr old movies? no, but they are clearly better options out there. Live & learn i guess.

AVP 2 pack is $27 @ amazon. Pick it up, audio on AVP:R is astounding. It's a dollar less than I paid.

I was pretty happy with Tower.Com, got both of my movies in separate shipments in less than a week.

DD has really gone downhill, I waited 14 days for my last order. I am gunshy with them right now

2 orders with ddd through buy.com using google checkout. Black Snake Moan for $7 and No Country for Old Men for $8. Order placed on the 20th of june. Shipped on the 23rd. Recieved both orders on the 30th. 7 days is not too bad for free shipping and has been par for the course with deepdiscountdvd. I've always gotten my orders in the 7-10 day range with them. Happy customer.

Done, thanks. Ironically, even though I like Alien/Aliens and Predator is one of my fav sci-fi flicks of all time, these movies have avoided my viewing pleasure. Looking forward to it.

I've tried to take the high road, but hey since everyone else is doing it...
How are you guys getting these orders to go through? I was told all I needed was a different email addy and I'd be fine. So I tried puting 2 orders in last week and GC cancelled both siteing the reason was for trying to take advantage of the discount... only one per customer blah blah blah. Any help is appreciated.

Nice one. Funny thing, they have a "Warehouse Deal" for a copy missing the shrinkwrap... for $31.46. I guess this $26.95 is gonna jump back up soon.

It doesn't really matter at this point because the $10 Google Checkout deal expired on 6/30.
