NBC Universal store seems to be having some good deals after 20% coupon. I picked up both Coraline 3d and Despicable Me 3d for about 38 bucks shipped.

Plus if you enter "SHOP10", its an extra 10% off that, making it even cheaper!

May already be common knowledge, but wandered into my local Best Buy and found many $6.99 and $7.99 Blu-ray discs, some of them actual classics worth getting. Already had some on display but joyously leapt on the last copy standing of Life Is Beautiful for $6.99, which I've been keeping an eye out for a long time.

Let's see if this link works:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olstempl...2187655&loc=01

Some of the $6.99 notables in my world:

Kill Bill Volume 1

Kill Bill Volume II (bought both the Kill Bill movies for the same price last week)

American Psycho

Trainspotting

Pretty crazy considering it doesn't seem all that long ago that I was shelling out $25 - $30 for 4:3 copies of The Lion King, Aladdin, etc. on VHS for my children.

It doesn't allow me to use both coupons. Still, I picked up great Blu-ray deals on the Blues Bros., Despicable Me 3D, Conan 1 and Nanny McPhee Returns.

Beware the $6.99 version of Gangs Of New York, its the old unremastered version.

Not usually. They have their own deals though, and usually they are pretty good.

Best deals I've seen on Amazon for animated Christmas Classics and Peanuts sets.

Original Christmas Classics - $19.49 (Gold Box deal of day)
Peanuts Holiday Set (6-disc Blu/DVD) - $20.49

It is the Lionsgate version which is remastered. They don't sell the other version anymore. If you go to the store and it looks like the picture below its remastered.

This is Amazon's price match of Best Buy prices for today only. I.e., Best Buy is selling these two titles for $15.99 as well. At my Best Buy, the exclusive versions rang up for $15.99 as well - FYI.

NEW SECTION NOW OPENED!

Hi All...

Because of the great success of this thread, we thought we would open up a dedicated forum section for Great Found Blu-ray Dics deals. (We actually rolled out a number of Great Found Deals sections because of this.)

Please be so kind to look for it at the top of this forum area. But here is a direct link...

GREAT FOUND BLU-RAY DISC DEALS

Please help us get this going by postings the deals you find in the new area!

Thanks all for helping in an indirect way to help grow AVSForum!

Is there a way to subscribe to the forum on that page versus each thread?

You can subscribe to the Forum itself more or less the same way you do a thread.

Does Best Buy still have their trade in promotion going where they gave a $5 off coupon for upto 5 DVD's that we turned in? I was not able to find any information about it at the Best Buy site, so I was wondering if the exchange program has ended. Thanks.

I don't see any valid reason for a new forum name and having multiple threads. Now I have to keep track of more threads!! I like everything all under this thread.

For $5 off Super 8 on Amazon.com

Add Super 8 Blu-ray to your Amazon shopping cart and start the checkout process. When "WOODWARD" is entered in the "Gift Cards & Promotional Codes" box that appears during the "Shipping and Payment" stage, $5 will be deducted from the order total.

This thread is not going away and will be limited to just "deals" as it always has been. If people continue to post deals here, nothing will change.

The new deals sub forums may not be the best setup for all product categories. Deals and price talk were never against the AVS rules in this BD movie forum like some other more popular product forums, eg. flat panels. The sub forum here was setup like some other forums and we are curious to see how things work out across the various forums.

Personally, I think the single sticky thread works well for BDs.

Hmm, now I have an extra thread to subscribe to? Should have just made this thread the sticky.

??? This thread has always been a sticky. Nobody is forcing people to post in the new sub forum for BD deals. And I think you can subscribe to the sub forum. However, at this point we're not going to eliminate "chatter" in the BD deals sub forum threads like this thread.

The big deal on Blu-Rays is going to be at Wal-Mart.
I snagged some good ones last year on Black Friday for $5 each, and I have seen the Black Friday flyer for this year; they should be dumping a lot of them for 5 bucks again next week.

The one I'm looking for a good deal on right now is the Jurassic Park Trilogy on Blu-Ray; if anyone sees a great deal on that one let me know, thanks!
