just rented Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice (Blu-ray)...was hoping that the Extended Cut was going to be on the disc but unfortunately only the Theatrical Cut was included...Captain America: Civil War came out this past Tuesday and has been hard to find in my area (NYC)

Redbox Liongate title with Atmos

I came across a Redbox rental Bluray title from Lionsgate that did have an Atmos track; "Swiss Army Man".

Weird movie, but interesting.

And the Redbox/Lionsgate Bluray of "Now You See Me 2" says Atmos right on the rental disc. It's 5.1 Dolby Digital.

Not worth buying in Atmos to see a second time.

It seems that only Lionsgate rentals, with block-buster titles, are lossy. Only True HD and Dolby Digital Plus (which is reserved for streaming), provide Atmos audio tracks.

Dear Redbox:

I got your weekly coupon in my e-mail today and thought, "what a great opportunity to rent Snowden." Found out that it was only available in DVD. Ah, I'll wait for Netflix. Well, how about "The Whole Truth" or "The Monster?" Nope, they're DVD-only too. All three of these are now in my Netflix queue.

I like Redbox, and I really try to support it when I can. It's a great alternative to get movies when you don't want to wait for them in the mail. Problem is that I'm a Blu-Ray snob, and really don't want to watch upconverted DVD unless there is no other alternative.

Please try to include more titles as Blu-Rays.

Thanks.

I was looking to rent Doctor Strange (Blu-ray) but don't see it on the Redbox website...I know certain titles have a 1 month delay but I don't even see it in the 'Coming Soon' section...I could have sworn I saw the movie listed on Redbox previously...was there some kind of dispute which caused them to remove it?

Yup; was bummed out when I rented Hacksaw Ridge last weekend and it was only DD 5.1. Was hoping for the Atmos or at least True HD. I looked it up and saw that it was a lionsgate film and did a wtf. Still sounded good but damn.
