Maybe she works for the county I live in. A couple of years ago the local weekly newspaper reported on a county council meeting in which the main subject was the following year's budget. One of the councilmen wondered about why so many departments had to have pickup trucks with "four-wheel drive and wenches."

Actually, I was thinking I'd do what I did to all my toys as a child, which was take a lighter to them and give them authentic battle damage. It looked cool, but I did set the carpet on fire burning my Mellinnium Falcon.

I never seen the movie in the theater and not really a Star Trek fan but I can't wait to get this. I've only heard good things about this movie.

It's hard to tell for sure with the picture shown, but I think the Bussard collectors on the nacelles are made of (or made to look like) shiny silver metal.

The bad part about burning your toys was that the burnt black residue would rub off on your fingers (and everything else).

I gave a Y-Wing hell one day. Burnt that one so much it was almost solid black. It was always my favorite Star Wars fighter ship.

I remember having a toy Enterprise too, but I think I was too young to burn it. I remember it being hard to play with since the dish part of the ship was so heavy and combursome to "fly" around the room with. Ahhh....the good ol' days.

They come back around. I was too old for "toys" when SW came out, but I've bought my kid virtually all of them out there, plus a TOS Enterprise to boot. When he's too old for them, I get 'em.

Amazon had a Gold Box special price for Star Trek (Three-Disc +Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] (2009) @ $26.49 while back, which I locked-in!

For those not in Germany, you can get the Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701 2009 Movie model by Playmates w/FX Sounds and Lights @ Amazon also!!!

To see the model in action, ... check out my video clips @ the end of my Webshots album.

I believe at a mall store that I went to about a month ago, there was a novelty shop, perhaps a game collector's shop, forget the name, but I did see the NCC-1701-A model ship on a shelf there, thought about getting it, but was too afraid to ask the price. Skill Level 2, tho. I believe that was the one used in ST:TMP, was it not?

NCC-1701-A was the ship introduced at the end of The Voyage Home, but essentially yes, same class/design used in TMP.

Yeah, never heard anything about Enterprise-B, tho. Unless that was used in the last TOS movie made (no, not ST2009, ST:XI - The Undiscovered Country), but I did hear about Enterprise-C, since that was featured in TNG episode: "Yesterday's Enterprise." Hard to believe that there were now seven ships by the name...Enterprise.

You had:

NX-01 (Star Trek: Enterprise)
NCC-1701 (The Original Series)
NCC-1701-A (The Voyage Home)
NCC-1701-B (The Final Frontier, possibly?)
NCC-1701-C (Found in TNG episode "Yesterday's Enterprise")
NCC-1701-D (The Next Generation Series)
NCC-1701-E (Used in the TNG films)

NCC-1701-B was an excelsior class ship (looked the same as the Excelsior) and was featured in GENERATIONS.

I have that one too! And Yes, ... the Saucer Module does seperate from the Engineering Hull!!!

I also have the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E!

The size comparison scale is approx. correct between the NCC-1701-D vs. NCC-1701-E - both by Diamond Select / Art Asylum!

I don't like the Enterprise D. Too stubby looking, not elegant like the other ones with longer nacelles. I'm not the biggest ST fan, but I don't recognize Enterprise E at all.
