I do have Prime, and I'm in the same boat as you. Mine still has "Not yet shipped" either.

+1, with Prime.
I live in Seattle, so that may have something to do with it.

Edit: Oops, I thought I clicked on Up, Monsters Inc thread. Sorry!

Prime here too. But I've been getting some new releases sent by 1-day UPS lately. They ship on Monday and arrive on Tues. Every week for the past 2 or 3. Mine hasn't shipped, but still says delivery on Tues.

Just watched it. Terrific PQ and AQ, nothing to complain about here. Still the best of it's genre, ever. The surround audio is amazing.

Can anyone else confirm significant motion judder in the extra features? They all have it, but "Return to the scene of the crime" is the worst. I see it on 2 different players here. Looks like someone really screwed the pooch on frame-rate conversions. Anyone?

I picked up a copy at FS in Cambridge yesterday, you may want to try another store.
PQ and AQ are both terrific And I have not made it to the bank scene yet.

Are the features SD or HD? I'm going to guess SD. Warner generally just ports over the existing supplements on catalog titles as-is.

Are you sure your TV/display wasn't still locked into 24 Hz mode when it should have reverted to 60 Hz after the movie?

I was asking if anyone can confirm the motion judder in the extras. Apparently you cannot.

The judder is very likely an issue with your player or display, not the disc. I'm trying to help you diagnose the problem. You're welcome.

I noticed the judder as well-using an Elite 50" with the sony Bdps550.

I'm seeing it, too. And my display isn't capable of 24hz - so that would seem to rule that out. Extras are indeed in SD.

Thanks, that's what I was expecting. The extras are all encoded VC1 480i @ 29.97 so I'm thinking its a bad encode. The worst is the one that's shot on video: "Return to the scene of the crime".

Edit to add: The give-away is that you can rewind one of the stuttering pans and on replay the stutters occur at the exact same points.

The PQ and AQ on this are amazing for an older title. I never expected the PQ to be this good. I would rate it tier 1.0 or even low tier 0 in the PQ tier thread.

After watching the shootout which I have seen dozens of times, I was literally trembling from the adrenalin and pure fear of how realistic it was. I have the DVD and the sound on it was/is awesome, but this takes it to the next level. I also own an AR so when they are using them, wow is all I can say. Very powerful scene that had me shaking.

The bank shootout really defines surround audio at it's best. There's never been anything better. Surround mix on this release is near perfect. It's always there but never intrusive. The final scene at the airport is equally compelling audio.

Yes, the surrounds. WOW. It seems even newer titles and almost all titles in general don't hold a candle to how the surrounds are used here and it is a fairly older title. Someone doing the mixing really got it right.

The secret was that they were using the live audio recording from the location shooting.

Thats why the audio sound hyper realistic.

Its almost impossible to recreate the exact sound "urban warfare" creates. The echoing is a class of its own.

Of course we are missing the crack sound that live ammo would create once it breaks the sound barrier.

Finally got to watch it last night & for a transfer from the mid 90's, it really is nice esp. when 1 puts it back to back vs the DVD as I did.
I thought I had gotten lasiks after watching the BD.

That said, while PQ & AQ are excellent, once again to echo what was said earlier: for a high profile release, this was certainly lacking in any addl extras. THAT is dissapointing.

Panasonic TC-P60ST60 + Sony STR-DG810 + LG BH200 + JBL L830's x2 + JBL LC1 + JBL Loft40 x 2 + Polk PSW10 + Harmony One

There are space limitations, even on a DL BD disc. With a 3-hr feature, I for one am grateful NOT to see reduced bitrates to make room for more extras. I also feel that the existing extras are detailed and more than adequate.

I watched it last night and it was absolutely beautiful in terms of PQ and AQ. I agree that using the live sounds was extremely smart move by Michael Mann. That choice alone makes this stand above all other movies that use firearms.

What!?! You mean you don't like 99.99% of movies that substitute howizter FX for a pistol?

Are you trying to say that Indiana Jones pistol didn't actually sound like that in real life?

I'm looking forward to seeing Heat after all the good comments about the audio.
