That reminds me of me trying to get my wife to sit in the center of the room because it sounds better there, rather than on the side where she likes to sit.

Stephen.

Chances are very good that I was drinking when I posted the above.

That is classic! I am in the exact same situation......my GF likes to sit on the left side of the couch and If I am trying to show her something, I always say "sit in the middle since it sounds the best there".......she just gives me that "are you serious?" look

Glad you guys understand!

JVC 3D: Been there, done that, bought a DLP

That's awesome. Although, my wife doesn't give me the "are you serious" look. She gives me the "I don't give a damn I'm just trying to watch the movie leave me the hell alone" look.

Lol my wife is the same she tells me to shut up and let me enjoy the movie. I guess I'm the same when it comes to jewellery care factor =0

Exactly. Cooking (and buying new cooking utensils) is my wife's favorite thing (lucky me), so I get her some new stuff for the kitchen, which costs considerable less than home theater gear (most of the time), so I can buy my new stuff without hassle.

You guys are lucky and should stop complaining that your wives/gfs don't care where they sit. Wish my wife was like that. Instead, my wife always tries to snag the middle seat b/c she knows it's the best sounding and viewing seat in the house.

Looks like HD Digest were not impressed with the audio either.Did anyone see this in the movies and noticed if the surrounds were more active?
