I bought this Blu-Ray Sunday at Wal-Mart.

When I put it into my Blu-Ray player Sony 460, it loaded slow and after I got through the previews and onto the actual movie options screen, it was frozen and wants to know if I want to continue playback but can't move anything with my remote control.

When I restart it, it does not go through the previews and to the screen I'm frozen on.

Does anyone know what the problem is and what I can do to fix it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

It might not me.

How can I upgrade it without an internet connection for the Blu-Ray? I have the player where I would have to build in the internet. Please let me know.

Thanks!

What firmware are you running? I looked on Sony's site for this player and there was a firmware update (version 123) released on Dec. 22nd.

Here's the product page on firmware update info which includes instructions on requesting an update disc if you cannot connect via the internet:

FW Info

I'd also suggest checking out the official thread for this player in the Blu-ray player forum. It's possible that someone else has had similar problems with this title.

BDP-N460 player thread.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

You watch a Donnie Yen movie to watch what Donnie does best - kick-ass!

It sounds like The Marine 2 has the same BD-Java code that Fox has been using on their new BDs - I've seen the new "Resume Playback" option on other new Fox BDs like (500) Days Of Summer and Jennifer's Body. Most likely your player just needs a firmware update.

Your player is trying to protect you from this film. Having seen it, I'd listen.
