I was fooled at first too, but I think it only showed that way for your account because you're only allowed one? just guessing. I logged out of my account and checked again and it was still at 40% claimed. Even now at 9:12 am eastern, mine reads 55%.

Yeah, I'm an idiot. Thought I had logged out, but I guess I hadn't (maybe due to multiple tabs/windows), so Amazon still recognized me.

Ah well. Live and learn. Will edit my post accordingly.

We spent 15 minutes talking about how lucky we were to act so fast! And then I tried logging out. LOL Still a fantastic price! Like $20 per season on bluray!

It is interesting to note that Amazon is having a black Friday deal for both the DVD and the BD version. With less than 20 minutes remaining, the BD set is 79% claimed, and the DVD set is only 39% claimed. Go BD!

Bazinga!

Sorry to resurrect this ancient thread.

I decided it was time to pick up the Lost collection, but I see that what was once $180 at Target - the complete collection on BD - is now out of stock there, and nearly $400 at Amazon. Its even higher at some other sites. I was able to find the DVD set for $99 at Walmart, but will I kick myself later for buying that? Is there that much difference in picture quality between the two, if any at all? I was under the impression that the show was filmed at 720p, so DVD should support that, right?

No, it was filmed on Super 35 and mastered at 1080p.

That plus DVD only supports up to 480p, not 720p.
