Pfft. I've had plenty of staggeringly good audio experiences with my setup, but the Blu-ray of EFNY ain't one of 'em. IMO.

Agreed, the Expanded Edition soundtrack CD is much clearer than the muffled sounding score on the lossless or lossy track.

I (finally!) picked this up.

To answer one of the questions I previously had - and one Fender alluded to- is the soundtrack.

The DTS-HD soundtrack is the same re-mix that was used on the previous Special Edition DVD, while the lossy 2 channel mix is the original Dolby Surround theatrical mix. Some dialog that was directional in the original mix is now centered in the new mix, plus some sound effects have changed as well.

Can't wait to check it out in full..

I'm excited to hear your feedback Gregk.

EFNY sports a very solid lossless track. Plenty of thumping directional audio, and the soundtrack spits out those Carpenter undertones clearer than I've ever heard them. In-fact, after watching it, I immediately bought the album of iTunes I never cared too much beforehand while watching this on DVD, which just goes to show the fidelity of the track itself.

I don't notice much of a difference with the 256Kbp/s .mp4 audio tracks from the album, either. Totally a great DTS-HD track.
