Ditto. I don't see how anyone that wants an ounce of credibility could say that The Matrix lacked originality.

The Matrix Reloaded was great and very underrated.....Revolutions, eh, not the best by far, but decent.

It did rip off every John Woo movie tho

Why, because it had cool gunplay? How many movies then ripped off The Matrix films after they came out?

Look, we can go all through history and look at great movies and see that most if not all of them took things or ideas from other films and incorporated it into their own.

Nope twin guns shades long coats L+A said themselves that without John Woo there would be no Matrix.
Everything steals from everything I agree totally, but some would have you beleive that the Matrix invented everything and even in 99' I sat there listing the lifts.

I'm very excited to see this come out. I went and saw it twice in the theaters and loved every minute of it. I'm more excited that my Dad never went out to see it in theaters and I can't wait to invite my parents over for a viewing. Definitely right up my Dad's alley in terms of something I think he would enjoy. First day buy for me!

Compared to most of the junk that is released in the theaters, this was amazing. With its awesome score and production values, its a must for any HT lover.

Totally agree. I was tempted to see this AGAIN in the theaters, and I never go to the theater because I have a nice HT and because people suck. But that's how much I liked this movie.

Why is there still no release date for the US version?

The wife and I went to see this last night. We caught the late show in the IMAX, there was only 1 other guy in there besides us which made for a very pleasant movie viewing experience.

Wow.

I will definitely pick this up on blu. This is one of those movies where repeated viewings is necessary. She actually did some research on it today. There's so much meaning in everything presented on the screen. I won't go into details for fear of spoiling this fantastic movie for those who may have not seen it.

Here's little something she found. The main theme for the movie is born from Non Je Ne Regrette Rien, the kick music.

You have no idea what that other guy was doing. That's disturbing, and maybe even gross.

Personally, I loved Inception. While watching it, I never thought of any other movie, regardless of whether or not it "borrowed" from previous material from another director. If Nolan did, then he made it his own.

For the record (as has been previously discussed here), I'm not a huge fan of The Dark Knight either. But, while I don't think Nolan is infallible, I do think his movies have loads more potential of being good than most directors out there right now. Well, except maybe for that awe-inspiring movie making machine Shyamalan...

Stephen.

Chances are very good that I was drinking when I posted the above.

I don't hate it or anything, but I don't think it's quite the movie that most others do. Good, but not great.

I loved this film. Saw it twice in the theaters and it will be a blind buy for me. I don't understand why people who didn't like the film felt the need to comment on it in this thread, when there are plenty of other threads on AVS about films they thought were better.

So, "blind buy on the BD version knowing the content/story is great".

That's my take.

I've heard this is a great film, so I am very interested in getting it on BD, but I'll wait for a sale - I have too much content to watch, not enough time.

Correct. Apologies, I thought that was assumed since this is AVS and these topics typically revolve around the presentation of the disc more than the content of the disc. I would not phrase it that way on rottentomatoes, for instance.

SO what aspect is this movie in? Is it 2:40:1 with some shots being in another aspect?

I dont like varying aspect ratios. I find it annoying. Especially since I have a masked screen for movies.

There's no varying aspect ratios in 'Inception.' You're thinking of 'The Dark Knight.'

I know that The Dark Knight hit some places rather early online. Would anyone please PM me if they find the same thing for Inception, either now or in the (potential) near future?

Thanks.

Looks like this is sold out. Supposed to have been less than 2,000 available for the U.S.

Some people like limited edition items and to collect things (or to resell for a profit). Supposedly the comic that comes with it is in high demand, as was only available digitally. Plus, it is more like $25 extra, not $40. Already popping up on eBay.

Maybe he cares so much that he was actually curious about what kind of beneficial gains you get out of it, and perhaps his mind is now altered as a result.

It was... INCEPTION.
