On the Skull Cowboy...
Something I never understood. Michael Berryman is one of the most unique looking screen actors in the medium's history. Why would you have him in a role where he's covered from head to toe in make-up?

The proper setting for sharpness is always0.
Also my Oppo BDP-103D is region free.
That makes me awesome.

It was cool makeup, I wish I was brave enough to ADR it myself.

I know but if you hire Berryman, people should be able to see him.

Well, in my understanding, a criminal charge like that would require evidence of deliberate recklessness, which would be hard to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. As a modern comparison, Michael Jackson's former doctor, Conrad Murray, was convicted of manslaughter, primarily because he was giving MJ propofol at home (a clear violation of medical health practices), and because he failed to call 911 immediately. To the best of my knowledge, no such evidence could be found regarding anyone involved with the making of "The Crow". Personally, I blame whoever made the call to ditch the weapons master, and the studio for going along with it.

God, guns, and guts made America; let's keep all three.

My guess is, that was the biggest issue: just "who" to charge? You have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt - and there was too much doubt involved with the circumstances.

The UK blurays use avc which is the same format as the rest of the blue rays around the globe.

No rudeness meant but you need
to be more informed about codecs and video standards.

They all have the same amount of footage. Each other version has some incremental difference in video, pretty much.

Just get the US version.

My Dual 18" LLT subs 120dB down to 10hz

Really cause every blu ray import from UK that I have bought that's region free played fine in my player. Only time u have to deal with the ntsc or pal issue with the blue rays is in the special features sometimes.

Er, the UK looks virtually identical to the Japanese release, do we need to go over this again, Zolly?

Yay! Merged.

1080/25 not at all equal to a true 24p encode, it is inferior.

Yeah, I remember comparing all the caps from different versions, some in some way very very little better than some. I'd get the one you can get for the cheapest.

I have the Japanese and the U.S Blu rays, and though I may get some heat for this, I prefer the way the U.S version is framed.
Yeah I know that it isn't all that correct according to other versions that have been released over the years, but I like the extra picture information at the bottom you get with it.
