You review discs. What equipment do you use?

I don't need to review discs to know what is what.
99% of reviewers know nothing.

It's nice you are blindly believing they are perfect, but my opinion based on many different versions is:
They just are not good enough at all.

I sympathize though it is frustrating not knowing.
Two day shipping via Amazon prime. I spoke with a customer service rep as well who told me it is ready to be put on a truck and will actually be shipped overnight. If not I can cancel early tomorrow morning and purchase it locally.

Mr Zoid

A GF that bought me a PS3 and a HD-A2? I'm a lucky man!

Those that continue to post off topic will not be allowed to post in this thread.

Attack on professional reviewers (as a whole)
Attacking or snide comments about member's HT equipment
Attacking other sites (with a broad brush stoke)

These are not topics of this thread. You don't have to agree with people, other reviewers etc etc....but don't attack the person...debate the content.

Why would you cancel it? Even if does not arrive tomorrow, if would within a day or two. Patience.

Because they recycled an old HD transfer with various problems rather than properly restoring them? Star Wars deserves better.

Lucasfilm has verified that information. It is the 2004 work plus additional tweaks.

Yes, they verified various changes that were made. Your information on the restoration is extremely limited.

His information is accurate- it's on dozens (hundreds?) of Websites at this point.

Please elaborate on the poster's "limited knowledge" regarding the "restoration."

No, it is not. Rather limited information has been made available. The rest is guesswork and assumption.

As in...they have limited access to information pertaining to the restoration. What information has been provided thus far is minimal given the magnitude of the project.

How do you figure? Lucasfilm says its the 2004 scan, which there's plenty of information about, the transfers line up pixel-for-pixel, but you think it isn't?

Magnitude of what project? There was no "restoration" (aside from a few lightsaber fixes) done for the blu-rays in addition to the 2004 restoration. If they DID restore them (which they haven't) they should talk it up a lot more than they have..."Newly mastered" is a popular and convincing marketing slogan.
