I haven't seen the Blu-ray yet but AP2 looked exactly as you describe on DVHS, and seeing as Universal haven't even thought about doing a new transfer I'm certain that the Blu-ray will be very similar (give or take some extra DNR).
Got it, thanks. As I said it has been a while since I saw it on dvd but good grief it looks like watching a movie with ambers sunglasses. I'll switch my tv to a cool setting so I can make it through to the end.
Woh! What the hell is going on with the color timing in AP2??? I popped it in last night to check it out and it looks ridiculously warm and even a bit dark. I do not recall the DVD looking this off but it's been a long while since I've watched it.
Yes, there are some weird, really warm looking flesh tones in some parts of the movie - especially the first half hour or so. The DNR seems worst there too.
