This is out on blu-ray somewhere in the world, anyone know where?
I can't find a listing in either the UK US or CA.
It's one of my favourite movies, but I can't find it at all.
Someone has it tho:

It's the dutch release.
It can be bought here;

Btw, do anyone know where "A Letter To Elia" by Scorsese was released on Blu-Ray? There's a 1080p Blu-Ray rip floating around the web, but I can't for the life of me find where it was released. According to the rip info, the source was a Blu-Ray release with DTS-HD Ma 2.0 track, but it dosen't say where in the world it originated...

Any idea on the quality of the Dutch Things To Do In Denver... disc?

If it's any good, I'm on it, like a fat kid on cake.

Love this film.

There are shots from a 720p rip of the BD floating about and I'm praying they're not an indicator of quality.

Love this movie.

Also trying to get hold of this:

Warlock? Holy smokes! I know the artwork design and that is distributed by Soul Media (not 20th Century Fox) throughout Scandinavia. It is one of their BD+DVD releases. I got their Red Scorpion release a while back, it was 1080i50Hz, lackluster transfer and region b locked as well so be warned.

Aw, don't be telling me that. I was hoping it would be a good disc, as although they didn't release it, Fox let Second Sight Films use their materials,(their logo appears on the artwork as well), for a recent UK DVD. It's not a bad looking DVD, the UK release, but I knew this Swedish BD was coming out, so held off.

The region issue doesn't affect me, I'm a BD citizen of the world.

That's not the Swedish release. It's this overpriced German thing:
http://www.amazon.de/Warlock-Satans-...2439399&sr=8-7

The scary thing, is that upscale or not, the German Warlock disc appears to actually be watchable,
unlike a certain 1994 Alec Baldwin movie, that was released in Germany not that long ago.

The money I paid for that disc, I should have just thrown at some random person in the street.
It would have been put to better use.

I should also mention, that I received the new French release of The 13th Warrior recently and it's no
great shakes either. Old master, DNR and EE abound and a possible raised audio pitch. The blighters!

It may still be the same transfer that is used by Soul Media though (which is a Danish company btw, not Swedish).

Epic bump!

Received the Japanese release of this movie today. Got in the CDJapan sale, so paid less that £10 delivered.

Warner would appear to have the Lionsgate/Miramax catalogue in Japan, as evidenced by a number of recent releases.

This looks similar to the Dutch release, however, no one has stated whether or not the Dutch disc is interlaced, which this Japanese release is, (60hz)

Points to an older broadcast master being used. Serviceable, considering how awful all the DVD releases were.

BD-25, DTS-HD-MA 5.1. AVC encoding. Bitrate stays in the mid to low 20s, for the most part.

I can see Echo Bridge doing a straight port of this, Stateside. Cheap tarts that they are.

Region free, btw.

Hey, Raol cool.gif
I got the dutch release and can confirm that it is progessive (23,976 fps). The image quality is passable. A lot better than the non-anamorhic dvd, but nothing to write home about.

Edit;
Ooops, I didn't see kukushk@'s post. (with the dutch specs), which renders my answer rather superfluous....
