Typical, finally I cave and buy the UK titles that were released outside of the boxset and this happens!!

While I'm happy that they're finally releasing the rest of the films on BluRay I am disappointed that they are starting out with another boxed set. Predictable but annoying for those of us who already purchased the prior BluRay releases. I'm dying to see Goldeneye, Diamonds are Forever and The Spy Who Loved Me on my rig, but I'm going to wait for the individual releases. I've bought these movies too many times already and I don't feel like doing a BluRay double dip.

I'd like to have a deluxe box with a bond replica car in it.

The link in the first post has a tag at the end to support the other forum every time it is clicked. Only this is required to access the page:

Audiosceptics accept audio trials using 25 people. A recent Oxford study with over 353,000 patient records from 639 separate clinical trials shows for every 1,000 people taking diclofenac or ibuprofen there would be 3 additional heart attacks, 4 more cases of heart failure and 1 death every year.

You like Goldeneye more than any film with Sean Connery?

Amazon UK clearly the better way to go...$120 for the set shipped to the US vs. the $200 Amazon US price tag. Is there a chance this will be region locked? (I think most Fox discs are region free).

I hope they release these individually.... I mean, it's a very fair MSRP ...but what happens when Bond 23 comes out... where do you place it? Then by the time Bond 25 comes out, there's another box set.

October is a long way off: things could change before then.

I thought Fox was voted the one most likely to region lock titles.

Yeah I really hate the crap about releasing a bunch of partial box or season sets and then as a reward they crap all over their biggest fans and release a late in the game giant set with tons of exclusive content (and, in this case, for now, even exclusive titles). I will wait and no I won't get sucked into the exclusive content if that is what they think of us.

Fox UK are actually quite flexible with their region coding.

OMGOMGOMG I just jizzed. In my pants.

I've been waiting for this day since the day Bluray was announced. I'm so happy I could cry

And literally 2 mins ago I took delivery of my new PJ (Epson 8350)!

Looks like it doesn't include the original Casino Royale or Never Say Never Again, which I actually liked. That's fine, as they aren't "official" Bond films.

And it's also not a collector's edition with gambling chips or martini glass set or aforementioned miniature Aston. Dammit, do I have to wait for that to be released?

edit: I just sent a mail to foxmovies@fox.com asking if there are plans for a deluxe collector's edition. If there's enough interest for a Scarface-style edition I'm sure they would make it, so please contact Fox as well!

edit2: anyone know where to get that really nice 50th anniversary poster?

The only two Bond movies I have bought on Blu-ray are the two new Craig ones - bargain bin style. All I really care about owning are all the Connery ones and then GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies (a bit corny, I know).

$120 for all BD movies yet AMazon sill sells only six of them form two for the three packs for $90. That is an excellent deal.
I wonder if I can sell my other box sets and get this. For $120 from the UK that seems like a steal.

That is a great deal now, but that is also with the current exchange rate. If I pre order now, the exchange rate could go up significantly.

Both are already available on Blu-ray separately.

Hope they fixed the frame issues on Goldeneye and The Spy Who Loved Me. I had heard there were issues on both of those movies.

Got a response from movieposter.com: they or none of their suppliers have the 50th Anniversary poster. Doesn't look good, hope someone can find a source!

cool looking set but the problem is that since franchise will apparently never end, this is definitely not the 'definitive' James Bond collection. There will be more and I'm not sure I want to spend $120 on something I know won't last very long. I'd prefer buying them separately and build my own set.

If they're the same discs as previously, the UK editions won't have the mono tracks though.

After the God-awful James Bond Blu-ray Collection packaging, I just can't get excited about this release until I see inside the box. I'm really hoping that the movies come in 22keepcases. Somehow I doubt it though.

Does it include double-dipped Quantum of Solace or it gets double-dipped later with another standalone release? Current edition is light on bonus materials.

You do realize you can buy Skyfall when it's released and add it to your collection, rather than waiting for a new box set? /sarcasm

I really don't understand this kind of criticism. There's never a good time to release a Bond collection as new movies will (hopefully) be released indefinitely. If you already have the smaller box sets, I guarantee the remaining movies will be released separately sooner rather than later.

For those of us who patiently waited for a full box set, great Hopefully they'll release some deluxe box, as well.
