Total face-palm... fingerless face-palm.

Why does Universal hate its customers?

They told her not to feed the dragon, but she wouldn't listen.

I guess the apologists will say it's better without the finger tips.

Could someone tell me how to get the HDDVD video and Bluray audio together in a remux. I have the DTSHD track and the HDDVD video track it has been converted to 23.976 fps and pull down removed. I can't get get A/V in sync at all, no matter how much I try.

Not the right place to ask: try the Slysoft and other forums.

In general, you will only be able to get sync if both the HD-DVD and Bluray have identical video frames and this can't be guaranteed. All it takes is a slightly different studio logo/intro (let alone different cuts and edits in the movie) to throw the sync off wildly.

There are some that say DD+ is near enough to DTS-HD MA to not make much difference, so it might be better to simply create a Bluray from the HD-DVD only, assuming your player can handle DD+.

Universal's wondrous filtering strikes again, removing sparks in images 2 & 10 as was as less rain in 8.

Have Universal's DE BDs been any different then the US versions?

Hmm. Total speculation on my part, but the previous release was so disappointing and so long ago that I have to assume it will be a new transfer. To wait this long only to repackage it doesn't make sense... unless they want to ride the wave of Blu-ray PR that will follow with the new UHD Blu-ray releases. I'd love to see a proper 4K remaster (released in UHD), but I'm pretty sure that all the effects work will hold it back. Last time I watched it, it did not hold up well at all.

One thing is for certain, I will not be pre ordering it. LOL

EDIT: I guess there was a 3rd direct-to-video sequel last year, so maybe they're going to release some sort of trilogy pack or something?

I strongly doubt a nearly forgotten catalog property such as Dragonheart would receive a new transfer. That would surprise me a great deal.

That's my bet too. Universal will certainly have something thrown together for WalMart/Target shoppers, for DVD at any rate.
