So I never understood why they had Hills Have Eyes 2 was out on Blu Ray first, but I was walking in BB the other day, and Hills Have Eyes 2006 version is now on Blu Ray. Thought this was a pretty good movie and glad to see it on Blu. However haven't found reviews for it yet, so wondering if anyone picked it up and what they thought.

Well, when you say it like that it does seem a long time ago.

Yeah, I know, but saw no threads on this one.

Better late that never, right?

The US release is a new BD50/AVC encode, and by all counts mops the floor with the old MPEG2 import. I thought it looked pretty great myself, though I may have only flipped around to a few scenes at the time.

Just avoid the BD release of Craven's original and you're all set.

Yup, I'm going to be picking this up. Wasn't aware it was that much of an improvemnt over the import.
