I do like Temple but it's madder than a box of frogs. It's bookended by two of the silliest action scenes that Senor Spielbergo has ever committed to film. The music is terrific though, I agree.
I dig the first half of Crystal Skull, the car chase in particular. It feels like proper smashmouth old-school Indy, especially the gag with Dr. Jones climbing in one window and out the other of a moving car. But when they reach the jungle it gets real silly real quick, and Indy's got **** all to do at the end. At least he told Marion to shut her eyes at the end of Raiders, we don't even get that in Crystal Skull.
Raiders is a stone cold classic, plot holes be damned. And I heart Last Crusade because it's so funny, the addition of Connery was a masterstroke.
