Maybe I'm the only one but I'm excited to final see this movie come out on BD. With a simultaneous new release on DVD, I'm hoping this is a brand new transfer.

Here are the details -> LINK

Prefer 'The Big Chill', which still hasn't been released to Blu-ray, but 'Grand Canyon' is also worthy and somewhat underrated.

I loved this movie when it came out. But I wonder if viewing it again after all these years will make it seem less profound than I originally thought it was. I am older and more jaded now, after all! Gotta pick it up.

Movies look their best when they look like movies. More Patton-esque remasters!

Same here. I saw it when I was in high school and I loved it, but I really wonder if I still would.

I still own the soundtrack, which I bought in high school. I was totally into soundtracks back then, and I still am. The end credits of 'Grand Canyon' has a pretty awesome fanfare written by James Newton Howard.....I think the movie will be a rental (if netflix gets their asses in gear), but it's a little outdated to own for me....
