wonder if any of the supplements created for the Criterion laserdisc will be ported over to the bluray.

I'd say there's little chance of that, given that TOMBSTONE didn't even have all its extras -- from Disney's own DVD Special Edition! (Here's hoping though).

That said, seeing as there was never a domestic 16:9 release, just seeing the film in high-def will be a treat!

The UK release was 16:9, but was Dolby 2.0 sound! :-(
The Alan Parker commentary on the Criterion laserdisc was pretty fab...
