Will "Let It Be" be release on Blu-ray? If not, why?

Movies must be OAR, sports and movies must also have 5.1 audio, No EE or NO SALE!

Capitol Records.

Good to see it includes the original mono track, even if I never listen to it.

Were not the original songs in stereo?

Not on the film soundtrack. As far as I know, the film did not have a stereo mix or stereo prints made during its original run.

Almost certainly no. The remaining Beatles have shot down the idea many times.
only release was in 1980 before most people heard of home video.

The whole idea was misbegotten from the beginning. The Beatles didn't like others around when they were recording and there was Yoko and a film crew right in the middle of them. George was furious during most of the shoot.

It'll probably resurface sometime, maybe after Yoko passes away; maybe not until they all do.

I used to have a Laserdisc copy of it. It was mostly very grainy. I'm sure today it would look much better if given the correct transfer (even with all the grain.)

I get press releases all the time from studios for BDs that list the audio as DTS 5.1 when they are actually DTS-HD MA 5.1. I wouldn't sweat it too much.

High Def Digest is reporting a lossless mono mix. But nothing about a 5.1 mix. So it seems there is different info spreading around.

The only Amazon.com that has this to pre-order is Amazon Canada. Does anyone know why it isn't up on Amazon United States to pre-order? Is this going to be like A Hard Day's Night?

If they release the 09/09/09 HD mono masters, I'll be in Pepperland!
If they once again release a "foldown (TM)" soundtrack, I'll sic the Blue Meanies on 'em!!

"I wonder if any of the releases had slipcovers though."
"Are these comfirmed to have slipcovers?"
"They look nice in those slips."

I am kind of worried that the audio is not listed as DTS-HD. Not surprised it's 5.1 since it's the 'home video standard'.
