One can list the titles and review the PQ and AQ.

What can not be done is the following:

1) Link to other sites, offering religious content

2) Discuss the religious topics. It's PQ and AQ only.

This is a fluid situation, and we reserve the right (as always) to lock, edit or delete threads that violate AVS rules. Please remember we are all guests here (including myself) and we must abide by the rules set forth by the owners.

On a side note, I would suggest the OP keep the standard color font, if you really want ppl to read what's been written.

Thanx for the clarification.

Indeed. The purple is pretty tough to read against the black/dark slate.

Having seen What If a while back and finding it modestly amusing (if very straightforward with its plot and its message, and I'm going to stop there--on the other hand Kevin Sorbo gets punched in the face a few times, so bonus!) I'm just curious enough about a BD version of it to order it. If nothing else I want to see how crappy the disc/transfer is.

I have removed “The Encounter” movie from the list because several sources have informed me that the Blu-ray version was never released and was canceled. The DVD was released on 9-18-2012 instead and can be purchased at the following link

The Encounter [Blu-ray] (scheduled to be released September 18th 2012).

Are these BDs generally up to snuff when it comes to technical issues like authoring and full A/V specs?I am mostly referring to the issues of 1080P video and lossless soundtracks.

All of the 16 Blu-rays above are native 1080P quality. However Blu-ray discs number 1-8 use the older MPEG-2 codec. Blu-ray discs 9-13 uses the MPEG-4/AVC codec. In theory discs 14-16 when they are released will also use the MPEG-4/AVC codec since Pure Flix Entertainment has switched from MPEG-2 to MPEG-4/AVC back around September 18th 2012 with the release of The Encounter Paradise Lost Blu-ray. Some of the Blu-ray titles are even shot with a Red One Digital camera and the picture quality is comparable to many secular Blu-ray titles.

Some of the Pure Flix Blu-ray titles use lossy 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound while other titles for budget reasons only use lossy 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo. The greatest weakness with all the Pure Flix Blu-ray releases is that none of them contains a PCM or lossless audio track yet.

The weblink below offers a detailed list of the video and audio specs for all of the Blu-ray Pure Flix titles that have been released so far.
