Agreed... and while I plan on buying my Avengers from Best Buy next week anyway... Yeah baby!  It's Halloween!

According to another forum, Best Buy will be selling the 2D release for $19.99, and $29.99 for the 3D release.

As for Target, they're selling their 2D exclusive (w/ bonus disc and different cover art) for $19.99, and $24.99 for the 3D exclusive.

2D version is the same as Amazon, and 3D is only $24.99 while Amazon is $29.96. But 2D is enough for me.

Can't wait to pick this up. Never saw it in 3D in the theater, so I'm looking forward to that, too (but a kick-ass movie to watch with friends).

Welcome to Rivendell, Mister Anderson.

Anyone know what the difference in regards to "special features" between besbuy and target. The target ad on sunday shows an extra disc with 90 minutes of exclusive bonus content. Any extra special features from best buy? I'm one of those that enjoy special features..

Going by their site, it doesn't seem like the 3D edition will have the bonus disc.

From the look of the ad, all 3 versions come with the bonus disc (blu,3D, and DVD).
The bonus disc must be a DVD, bummer. I cancelled my order with Amazon because they haven't shipped it yet and I'll be out of town when it was supposed to arrive (Thursday). So tomorrow I'll head over to Target and grab one.

If the store is sold-out, some Target stores are getting additional shipments at around 1 PM EST. (By the way, just because the shelves are empty doesn't mean there aren't more in-store. They have copies put aside for those that reserved or pre-ordered. In my case, the shelves were empty of the 3D discss...but they checked their reserve copies and had one extra and that;s how I got one. (wasn't even planning on buying this but, as someone said, at $19.99 (actually, even less when using their card), it's a no-brainer. Picked up DARK KNIGHT RETURNS wile I was there as well.

First ever blu ray purchase with multiple disks stacked on top of each other, I really hope this isn't a trend. Your either bound to scratch a disk or break the case eventually. This needs to stop right now. If they need to save space they should just do a 2 sided DVD with the digital copy on the other side.

You must not have bought any new Disney releases lately. That said, I agree with you. It really half-ass and makes you wonder why you just spent $20-30 on their lazy-ass release.

My last couple of Disney purchases have that extra piece in the middle that holds discs (Ghosts of the Abyss, PoTC:OST). Target is just cheap-ass.

What's the real aspect ratio? I hope for scope. And does it have 7.1 audio?

My Target had 2 of the 3D versions left when I got there around 1:00 this afternoon. They had loads of the 2D version.

Did she get one?

The Beaverton one had 10ish up front at the registers and more back with the rest of the movies at 8:30 this morning.

Nope.
Although they told her they may get more on the Thursday truck, I told her to go ahead buy the 2D.
IF they get any in by the Sat., I'll make an exchange.

What's with the limited supply? I've never experienced this for a DVD/BD at Target, Wally's or BB. Am I the only one who thinks this is strange?

That disc stacking is a freaking joke.mad.gif I might as well just sell the sd dvd and digital copy so the BD's don't get scratched.

At least the 3D release just dropped to $19.99 on Amazon.

Hmm.. practically every black friday sales items in BB or Wally or Target is limited supply. They made a mistake on 3D version and honored the price. But it didn't mean they have to keep selling them. Most stores probably only display a few copies out and leave the rest in back room.
