Didn't look to good pq wise in theaters. A post pro guy told me they filmed in 16/9 but cropped it to look like 2.35. Hopefully will look better on bd.

No subwoofer I've heard has been able to produce the bass I've experienced in the Corps!

Must..stop...buying...every bluray release...

Saw it once in theaters, not really big on seeing it again. Worth catching on blu though if you missed it. The truck/boat chase scene is pretty slick.

I have never failed. I just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Critics hated it, audiences were far kinder. I think it sounds like a worthwhile rental.

Ah, sorry, I meant for the BD.

Good to know though. I wasn't as impressed with this movie than I thought I would have been.

As I understand it, this movie involves two critical elements: 1) high powered firearms, and 2) explosions. Therefore, it is a required rental for me

Yeah. The boat/truck chase scene was pretty sick.

Saw this in the theater and loved every minute of it!

This is a very realistic and touching film.

BEWARE: Act of Valor has a very emotional ending.
I tried very hard to hold back the tears.
So make sure you have some Kleenex tissues handy.

The blu-ray disc contains a number of bonus supplements, including:

Director commentary
Deleted scenes: - "Christmas in the Barracks"
- "MREs"
- "Shabal in Winter Palace"
- "Christo's House"
- "Shabal on Boat"
- "Shabal in Kiro"
Blu-ray exclusives: - Directors' introduction
- Interviews with the seven SEALs who starred in the film
- Four behind-the-scenes featurettes
- Keith Urban's "For You" music video
- Making-of featurette for the music video

Act of Valor streets on June 5th.

Enjoyed this movie. The boat / truck scene is very entertaining. Turn it up loud.

Watching on the SONY BDP-S590 / BDP-BX59, I was hoping there was a 16:9 option on the Blueray set I have. No luck. Here's the link page 44.

http://www.avsforum.com/t/1396469/official-sony-bdp-s590-and-bdp-390-thread/1290#post_22117027

Still a great movie! It ended too soon. There's a scene with RPG used in AAA role... for a moment you think this is it...

With such an effort, they should have made this at least a 3+ hour movie.

Excellent movie that exceeded my expectations. Dialog was a bit stiff but the action was fantastic! Well directed and a great story. PQ was a little rough but the audio was reference. If you liked the movie, don't hesitate to get the BD!

Makes playing Ghost Recon that much more fun since I feel like I'm extending the movie, but it's playable!

Felt too short, dialog/acting was "meh" on the verge of "barf".....I felt like "just STFU" alot, lol. Action sequences were good though, & were never over the top in the sound or visual dept, which is good for a movie of this genre. I also felt it catered to gamers just a tad too much, & I'm a big gamer. Over all, nice rental. I blind bought it frown.gif after I saw the trailer. Should've waited for bargain bin prices. I hope a part two is in the works, while fixing the pitfalls.
