I was just reading about this on tDB....

Not sure if want. Doesn't sound like much worth dipping down for again. I wonder if all the cuts will even be in this one.

I think I'll pass.

Listen up, studios! Just say "NO" to DNR and EE!!

Have too many different versions on hand already, so I very likely won't buy unless it goes on sale for a really low price.

Higher Bitrates for more teal?

The proper setting for sharpness is always0.
Also my Oppo BDP-103D is region free.
That makes me awesome.

If I remember correctly, the new release audio will be in DTS HD Master... The original Blu-Ray was only Dolby Digital 5.1...

If it's not a BIG screen, it's not a theater...

So, do they mean seven?

I would imagine the price would drop drastically on this one. Avatar, with 3 versions seamlessly branched, and 3 blu rays, is $30.

I've never seen sooooo many neg posts on a beloved title...
WB has "Jumped the Shark"!

"I wonder if any of the releases had slipcovers though."
"Are these comfirmed to have slipcovers?"
"They look nice in those slips."
"This slipcover looks too good to pass up."

The only way I'm buying this is if circa 1982 Sean Young delivers it to my house dressed as Catwoman.

Jumped the shark? They have been shark bait during the whole HD era.

The good news is there has been a HD version of Blade Runner that has a higher bitrate (if that's how you judge good or bad), more detail and more film grain then the Final Cut. It's called the Director's Cut and has been available for years although some miniature vfx shots look better on FC. It also more closely resembles what I saw in theater color wise when the film was originally released.

At worst WB BD output can be called mixed, there are studios and distributors that have a worst record and at the same time a fraction of the output.

WB is...well...Warner Brothers....
It is NOT unreasonable to anticipate/ask for a top-flight product...

When I postED WB...
I meant "marketing".

I think we all agree (finally, ha, ha) "BR" is a GREAT, GREAT, GREAT film.
When you have so many posting against such a release so adamantly, its got too have something too do w/marketing (since the transfer the same).

Shoot, too me, the 'nuthing brief bout' briefcase was "JTS".

"I wonder if any of the releases had slipcovers though."

IGN continues to show just how qualified they are to be discussing Blu-ray.

Quote:

Tech specs are unknown at this point. Blade Runner was a fine Blu-ray back in 2007, but compared to most Blu-ray restorations today, it comes off a bit soft and not nearly as clean or striking, especially when compared to the wonderful restoration done for Ridley Scott's Alien. Let's hope Warner is prepping a fresh 4k restoration with DTS-HD Master Audio.

PS3, WD TV Live

Will this version be an 8-disc set of duplicate versions? I swear I've only ever bothered to view 1 disc out of the 5, when it was first released on Bluray.

Margot Robbie is THE most exquisite human creature on the face of the planet, in this moment in time.
