And When Thor 2 and Captain America 2 and Ironman 3 and Avengers 2 comes out they will have another box set
And another. And another. And another. None of which fit on my shelves, which are, strangely enough, designed to hold only normal cases.
Do they really sell enough of these to make it worth the cost of making them? Especially when they do it over and over again? Some of these sets seem like they would barely sell at all (like the HP set that didn't even have the last half of the seventh film), and yet they keep pumping them out. Or releasing a set much later on (again, I'm looking at the upcoming HP set), after most of the fans have already purchased everything separately. I'm not a big fan of buying stuff twice, especially in a case like this, where the only benefit is the box it comes in (I already have the films themselves), that I'll never use anyway.
I already own all of these movies as I'm sure many others do as well. No way I'm double dipping for $153!!!!
This set removes all of the DVD and digital copies, as well as the two additional Blu-rays of special features from Iron Man 1 & 2. Collecting the individual releases would give you seventeen discs, not ten. They are reducing the discs but giving you a bonus disc and trinkets of some sort. I'm not sure it will be worth it.
PETER JACKSON: The theatrical versions are the definitive versions.
