For me the best action film yet made, from what Evans said to me about the sequel I am in for that day one also!

I'll preorder this on word of mouth alone. The steelbook art looks nice, but I'm fine with the standard blu-ray.

The guy I saw it with turned to me at one point and said "how did this get an 18!" 10 years ago even it would have been cut to shreds if not banned

I saw it in the theatre and thought it was the most violent fighting movie I had ever seen.
You're telling me that the uncut version is gonna be even more violent?

I'm gonna have to buy this movie.

Best action movie I've seen in... I don't even know how long. Absolutely ****ing fantastic beat 'em up and a day one purchase for me. I couldn't recommend it more enthusiastically to anyone who appreciates this kind of film. And more violence? Daaaaaaaaaaaamn. Didn't see that coming. Bring it on!

Also, that steelbook art is pretty damn great.

That change of clothes to swat and swat car on the cover is pretty bad on UK. Like the US cover more without those awful review words on the building. And don't get me started on the fake helicopters that I know isn't in the movie...

Wonder if that only applies for cinema or the US blu-ray also? We all know they usually cut cinema versions.

I'd really like to know if the US version is cut. I see the terrible mockup cover art has an 'unrated edition' red band at the top, whatever that means:

Hopefully not since unrated means a longer version than theater. Though they have messed up the cover completely frown.gif

Have you ever preordered something, and forgotten about it? biggrin.gif Yeah so apparently I did that for the Mei Ah dvd of The Raid. I won't be able to hold out til the blu ray before watching it, so I'll be able to tell for sure if there are any cuts.

I know, right? That's some unnecessarily lousy (and oddly Resident Evil game-ish) cover art.

...and I need your sweet love, Latina T-Mobile girl!

Just watched the Mei-Ah dvd. I was probably a little over-hyped by all the 'best action movie ever!' comments online. Make no mistake, it has some very good fight choreography, and the soundtrack fits very well. It has a gritty, Hong Kong meets John Carpenter vibe to it. It never really blew me away, but it's a good time for sure.
