It's watchable, from what I've seen. I haven't sat down to watch the entire movie yet, but at a glance it's a step above the DVD (I have the Canadian version). The main difference being that the DVD has some compression artifacting problems I didn't see on the BD. However, it's 1080i and has a lossy DD 2.0 soundtrack, so there's that...

I thought the detail and depth was fairly good.
While I liked the movie originally, it hasn't aged well.
It seems very stagy now, and the state of gaming has changed dramatically since it was made.

The solo edition of Existenz from Echo Bridge does include lossless audio, though it alters the color timing for a brighter picture. Both appear to use the same HD source master. The review for the solo version...
