Another classic we're currently working on is Walter Hill's cult favourite SOUTHERN COMFORT, scheduled for UK Blu-ray and DVD release by the end of the year. Walter Hill very kindly granted a rare interview for us and will feature in a 40 minute documentary, 'Who Will Live, Who Will Die' in which he talks about the making of this legendary film. Here's a still from the interview, filmed last week at the director's Beverly Hills home.
Ah! Wasn't expecting that one. I've been intending to rewatch it "any day now."
I'd also like Hill's first feature, Hard Times with Charles Bronson and James Coburn. The UK has treated this one better than the US on DVD, so maybe we'll see a BR as well. A review and thumbnails here.
My order arrived yesterday, I watched it, I must say it is a bit grainy, and it is 1.78.1 aspect ratio. I was more disappointed in the sound though; it is DTS HD MA Mono thought for sure they would have released it with a 5.1 mix, however for being mono and matrix to 7.1 via my receiver it still sounded ok.
