And there's a few other alterations from the original release as well not noted in that page. Granted it isn't as significant or egregious as Star Wars Ep4, but it is worth noting and discussing.
Exactly...
There's also Betty Boop's little 'accident' (http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Who-Framed-Roger-Rabbit-uncensored-HDTV-airings/post/624032/#TopicPost624032) and the 'Rigid tools' poster / Mickey eyes edits in the 'Trail Mix-up' short (http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Trail_Mix-Up)...

Also, looks like some grading has been applied: the whites are more pinkish and the blue sky is gone (same problem as 'Willow' & 'Indiana Jones'? A new trend maybe...?) http://www.caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergleiche/comparison.php?cap1=20010&cap2=20020&art=full&image=4&cID=1571&action=1&lossless=1#vergleich
That's a shame really because otherwise, it looks like a nice upgrade: http://www.caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergleiche/comparison.php?cap1=20008&cap2=20026&art=full&image=2&cID=1571&action=1&lossless=1#vergleich

I thought it looked good, if a bit "gritty". I don't overanalyze, I just watch and see if anything makes my experience a bad one.

For those of us who received release day copies with the defective DVD, Disney will send you a pre-paid mail label for a replacement DVD, provided your disc info confirms a defective copy. Email to: contactus@disneystudiohelp.com with the disc info from the shiny side inner ring beginning with DVDL, as well as your address & phone #.

My copy came from Amazon without the warning sticker found @ BB, but is the defective version, and I suspect that all release day sales include the bad DVD.

Wow, biggest surprise to me about this screwup is that studios are still producing "Full Screen" (now a terribly antiquated and inaccurate term) DVD releases. It's ridiculous to cater to that segment of viewers any longer.

Movies look their best when they look like movies. More Patton-esque remasters!

Why are people referring to the DVD in this BLU-RAY topic?

They may not have produced a new Full Screen DVD... it could be accidental use of an old DVD master.

Remember back when the Ultimate Superman DVD Tin set came out a few years back, and somehow WB mastered Superman III and Superman IV with old masters from a previous release... so people got discs with the new art, but old content.

That's my guess as to what happened here with Disney... somehow the replicator used an old Full Screen previously released Roger Rabbit content and it wasn't discovered until people started popping it into their players.

Yeah baby!  It's Halloween!

I just put my DVD in and it looks like widescreen format. I bought my copy yesterday. Where are these numbers on the disc? Is it the inner ring on the data side? The number I'm looking at starts with G3878
