Best Buy exclusive Terminator Anthology advertised coming out August 28, anyone have any info on this? I wonder what versions of the first two are used.

Indecision may or may not be my problem.

It seems to be most likely just a reissue of the current versions. There was some debate on whether Terminator in particular contained the new transfer but all signs are pointing to no.
However in Europe there maybe a release for Terminator that does have a new transfer. Time will tell.

Best Regards

Since I never got around to buying any of these on Blu-ray, I will pick this up Tuesday! Even though I could buy them separately on Amazon for a few bucks less, I kinda like the packaging and having them all in one set. Hopefully the AQ and PQ are the best that's currently available.

Indecision may or may not be my problem.

Don't waste your money. All of the current transfers of the first two (and only IMHO) films have some problem in one way or another (they're old masters). I'd just sit tight and wait for the Cameron approved frame-by-frame restored releases. The other two are bargain bin, D-grade quality films and not worth a dime.

If you want to see a brilliant "Terminator" like movie, in all honesty, get "No Country For Old Men." Even the T-800 would think twice about messing with Anton "Flip a Coin" Chigurh! I think even James Cameron said as much. It will tied you over nicely. smile.gif

Listen up, studios! Just say "NO" to DNR and EE!!

Too late! I realize they aren't the greatest, but since I didn't already own any on blu-ray I bought.
BTW I love No Country For Old Men. Great movie!

LOL I never thought about NCFOM being so similar to Terminator. Someone should really think about remuxing the audio from Terminator into scenes from NCFOM.

If memory serves me, one of the movies that influenced the Coen Brother's take on NCFOM actually was the original "The Terminator." I wonder if the book's author, Cormac McCarthy, was also thinking of the Terminator films when he wrote the Anton Chigurh character. He can't be bargained with, he can't be reasoned with; he feels no pity, and he will never stop until you are dead.
