Hey, we agree on something. I thought this movie was great and Amy Adams is a cutie (surprised to find that she's older than she looks). biggrin.gif I liked Williams' retro jazz score as well. A buy as long as Paramount doesn't screw it up.

Listen up, studios! Just say "NO" to DNR and EE!!

That'll be an awesome one, Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hanks, two one of my favorite actors.

I could not agree more. These marketing morons with their theory that you need to clearly show the stars' faces on the cover for it to sell good rolleyes.gif

Agreed. There's nothing about this art that invokes the feeling of the movie itself. In fact, it's so generic you could swap it out with almost anything. For example...

It's the poster cropped, it's the poster re-arrenged, and that IMO changes everything.

Both original poster arts look great to me and fit the style of the movie.

Yeah, because the DVD has definitive, original framing of the film. Heh.

I wonder if this is the same transfer from the original film or a new one? Looks like the same transfer to me, but shifted up (to frame it at the theatrical 1.85:1), slightly more side info... and vastly superior for being 1080p. Really shows up how poor the authoring on the DVD was - horrible edge enhancement.

Color grading and the image geometry are different, plus it doesn't look like a DVD-era transfer.

Looks fantastic. One of the more dramatic improvements from DVD to BD when it comes to detail and clarity, IMO.
