I saw that in the theater (or drive-in) when it came out in the early 80's. Thought it was awesome back then. I watched it a few years ago and it was so cheesy. I loved how the rockets they shot off the bikes were the same ones you buy at a fireworks stand for $3.

I very likely saw this at the old Ellisville Cine when it came out in '82, next to Skate Moor.

Anyone blow $32 and shipping on this Japanese disc?

No...way! This movie lives?! The idea of this movie back in tha day was very cool but after seeing it I knew it was all cheddar but it was still fun. LOL! This is one of those movies that sticks with you for some insane reason. There's a line when they're coming up with their plan and the hot shot guy (I think that was his actual name in the movie...lol...kidding) but he says "...aw, now you know I'm gonna get lost!". I don't know why but that to this day still creeps in my mind from time to time. I simply cannot hear Journey's Wheel in the Sky without thinking about "It's all on the wheel...it all comes around..." ....lol! LMAO! This movie lives?! Did I say that already? Wooow!

And what does "cheez" look like on BD?! Ugh....good times!~

I swear I thought my grandfather was going to disown me after I dragged him to see this movie with me in the theater. Yes, the theater, I was one of the eight people that saw this movie in the theater.

LOL! Dude, Halloween is just 10 months away. Live the dream!!

The thing that got me about it at the time, I was 12 or 13, was that they ran full back cover ads on various comic books I was reading, probably X-Men. There was nothing else like it at the time, and in retrospect, we can be thankful for small blessings. That review captures it pretty well.

Actually Greg, you're in my neighborhood so if I do the Halloween party I'll be sure to extend you a personal invite...lol!

I'm still in total shock at seeing this damn thing with a blu cover!

You're on, because meeting random people from the internet, always goes well! biggrin.gif

Yeah, I think there might be one or two other titles out there more deserving of a blu ray release, you know? Still, with enough rum and enough friends of a similar mindset, good times can be had!

Interesting how St. Louis seems to be over-represented in fans of this cheese-fest. biggrin.gif

Bob Simandl ... somewhere near St. Louis
