Most people I know have a 40" LCD and soundbar, or no soundbar at all. DVD and streaming are more than enough. Unfortunately not for me.

I stopping watching DVDs back in 2005 but I stream a lot of HD content. As well as watch Blu-ray Discs. Streaming is just too convenient. Certain titles I will stream from one of the streaming apps. Certain titles I will rent the BD. And certain titles I will buy the BD. I wouldn't want to rely on just one way to watch.

I've actually purchased more BDs over the last couple of years that the three years prior to that. Mainly because of 3D and Anime. Although the bulk of my BD purchases were still between 2006 and 2009.

Fortunately I have not had that problem in my area. I got my first cable modem in 1997. It was a one way cable modem with 1Mb/s down and used a 56K modem for upload. Then in 1998 they changed to two way cable modems and I had 5Mb/s down and 1 Mb/s. And then finally in 2007 FiOS arrived with 35Mb/s down and 5 Mb/s up. Of course now you can get get up to 500Mb/s symmetrical speeds on FiOS if you want to pay for it. And Comcast also offers 500Mb/s speeds here too. well 505Mb/s. To be slightly faster than FiOS.

My local Redbox has Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Maleficent for $5 each. Does anyone remember if these movies have special features included?

The Malificent I rented from Redbox had the extras on the disc.
I can't speak to Captain America as I purchased that one retail.

Movie studio and game studio have a lot in common, they'd like you to pay them each time you play their movie or games. In case of EA games, you can pay additional $10 for another key after you bought the used game disc. Movie studio can do the same if it is technically possibile. They can use BDLive features to ask you register with them in order to view certain extras on the disc.
why the give $10 extra for another key?

Because you can't play the game online when you bought it used. Each key is tied to the Xbox you played on.
