GREAT WALL have ATMOS???

Goodbye to a great audio and video genius and writer... JOHN GANNON. I enjoyed your friendship, wit and a nice long run we took around Indianapolis at CEDIA years back... and for buying my Runco 980 Ultra years back... you saved my ass! Rest in peace.

Does anyone know if "John Wick 2" Redbox rental has lossless or lossy audio?

I was wanting to rent it before buying it.

I won't rent it if it only has a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack.

I received the Netflix version in the mail today. I was super excited and the I started searching for rentals without Atmos tracks and found this thread. After it showed up I remembered that JW1 didn't have Atmos, but bought it later to get the Atmos track.

You can probably guess at this point, but Netflix version no Atmos track.

I had a RB promo, rented JW2. Confirmed Atmos. I'm really close to dropping Netflix disc rental.

Thanks for posting that RB had Atmos.

I was just coming to the site to find this out. If JW2 had been nerfed like JW1 was.. Appears this is NOT the case.

Pretty nice news here!

So I just rented The Man from UNCLE on NF. I forgot to check and see it is listed as DTS-HD MA. Is this format instead of Atmos for the rental?

I'm just trying to head a few Atmos tracks here on my new-er receiver.

TV: Panasonic 60" VT60 Plasma Surround: Yamaha RXA3050 5.1.2 Definitive Technology BP7006 (front), DefTech studio 350's (rear), Def Tech Di6.5r (ceiling) Players: Raspberry Pi running OpenElec/Kodi, Roku, Sony Blu-ray Control: Control4, whole house automation

Supposed to be Atmos.

I would have to run upstairs to the HT, and check, but I am pretty sure my new 3D copy of Ghost In The Shell is ATMOS. Haven't watched it yet.

ATMOS is freakin' unbelievable! I have been actively looking for ATMOS encoded movies for my newest A/V 7.2 Receiver: Onkyo TR-NX751. I didn't think I would be able to really 'hear' what ATMOS is all about, Immersed sound! Well, I can..even the wife's eyes popped open at the unbelievably realistic sound envelopment in the HT Room.

My number 1 son, just bought a house 40 miles away, and one of the criteria for the house hunt, was a big enough and shaped properly, for him to build a home theater. He ordered the exact same speaker system I have (Klipsch) and the Onkyo, but the next step up from mine, even though my number 2 son told him repeatedly to stay away from Onkyo. (He had a very bad experience with the factory over a failure of some sort they said was not the cause he said it was. Forum after forum pointed the way so he ordered the part, I think he said it was $25.00 plus shipping, installed it, and VOILA', A/V receiver was working again.
He is selling it and buying a Dentron to setup ATMOS at his location in Vancouver, Washington. To each their own. Oh BTW, when presented with a video showing the receiver was working again with the replacement part Onkyo support said wasn't the problem, they reimbursed him his money.

I use a fairly sophisticated system, not quite State of the Art, but up near .. Although I agree Atmos is nice, it was not a huge, huge leap, for me anyway, sound wise, as compared to DTS-HD Master Audio / DTS:X / 7.2 .. I've used Klipsch since the 1960's and prefer that horn loaded sound ..
